Since when has the surplus SS not been stolen by the government? The program has run a surplus since the day of it's inception yet there is no money just some IOU's. That's all there ever has been. Johnson even made the bold move of taking it off budget so folks wouldn't even see it being stolen. Pretty slick move that the politicians have been thanking him for ever since. Both sides have squandered this money and to say otherwise is either being a liar or an ignoramus. The ponzi scheme is destined to fail, it's only a matter of when. It's just too damn bad we can't privatize and get our money out of the hands of the dishonest sons of bitches in DC and I'm speaking of both parties.
