Terrence, I did not say that any religions are correct. In fact, I made clear that I believed that there were many very wise men who had lived on earth, and that much could be learned from their teachings. This is not religion, and it is not mysticism. I have a big problem with religions because over time, they seem to distort original teachings, polarize men, take away individual responsibility for your own actions, and cause wars and massacres of all kinds as their followers totally lose the original spirt of the founders.
What I am saying is simply that there have been teachers of wisdom, and men who took on the establishment and rebelled against it, like Jesus, who deserve my respect. The Buddha would definitely fall into the same category, and there are several others. I certainly do not believe in One Truth, or One True Religion, and have stated that many times. |
