I can't answer whether that matters or not for other people. The books I read on Saddam left no doubt in my mind he was a sociopath by our definitions. He would lie, cheat, and kill with no hesitation. I would never believe a word he said. I don't really think anyone did, do you? My personal objections to the war weren't based on that. However, I don't find the existence of 20 year old cannisters alters my previous perceptions of much. I never doubted that he possessed and used chemicals in the past, and that he was capable of using them again.
