Bush hasn't really said the intelligence was bad. He didn't have to say it though...we all know it's bad. But he kept on saying it was good and that WMD would be found eventually. Even after Dr. Kay said no WMD...and no possibility of finding it either...Bush and Cheney keep on saying there are WMD or we'll find WMD or even we found WMD. Imagine Bush said that Tenet did a good job. But on his watch we were attacked by Al qaeda and got the WMD stuff wrong. Tenet couldn't have effed up much worse in my mind.

Difference between Rather and Bush is that Rather realized he was duped and said he was wrong and was misled. Bush on the other hand has offered no apology for taking the nation to war because of the grave threats of WMD. Instead he simply changes the reason that we went to Iraq...to rid Iraq of Saddam, to bring democracy to Iraq...in otherwords to nation build. Something he said he was against doing. Flip flop.

The war in Iraq is going to smolder for decades. And the way we invaded, pissing off our allies and Arab moderate states...with a small coalition of nations...not a broad one. Ever check out the opinion polls in Arab countries about the US? It's not a good polling. Here in the US 50% of people like Bush 50% hate him. In Arab countries it almost 100% hate America. What a positive step that is in the war on terror, eh genius?
