[168 Kbps Modems - no threat] Salim, Your link wasn't working for me, but if I'm not mistaken, these modem speed are attained by using 2, or in this case 3 lines (POTS) (56 x 3 = 168). After installing one extra line for your "56"k modem (really 46k at best) are you going to pay for yet a third and fourth phone line? I don't think so. Perhaps some businesses may be tempted if they have extra lines for such use, but I can't see this as a business solution. IMO, Greg P.S. Are you getting any money back? or waiting on the sidelines? I was selling today at 12 5/8 - 12 3/4. My portfolio was too Amati-heavy (actually, it still is). I'll try to buy in a hurry on good news or even another rumor--and I'd probably be tempted to go crazy again if it drops a couple of points.
