Last night 20/20 did a feature on Charity Hospital and how they managed through Katrina... Actually they didn't as they were all but forgotten. The courage of some of the Doctors there who in spite of the threat of death did not abandon their patients was quite moving.. Unfortunately that beautiful structure sits there empty. All the E.R. rooms, all the equipment were shown to be void of human beings... An inspiring story but one that left the viewer with a heavy heart.
