Jerry, what you say is true, however, your categorization of
"short-term" investors only apply to the current (last 6 months or so)
investors in Novell. The folk you see (including myself) b*tching
about Novell's "management" are in fact, long-term investors that have
been screwed royally by this company. No, Novell's action wouldn't be
"irresponsible", it would be the correct thing to do. They have
not considered, nor have been concerned one iota about shareholder
value for the last 2+ years if not more. No Jerry, they get *no*
sympathy from me, and I have only the utmost contempt for their Board
of Directors, and previous management. If someone wants to throw their
dollars down this toilet in the hopes that "Novell's Second Coming" is
"real" then as I've said before, Caveat Emptor. Regards, ...Joe
