All the more reason for the consumer to force standardization onto software data formats. VHS may not be the best standard but I can take a video-tape recorded on any brand VCR and play it on any other brand VCR without special conversions. Once again all you can shove into a file are text, video, and audio. Surely they can come up with a standard format that everyone can read/write to. That would be a TRUE productivity gain if everyone could "share" data between similar applications. Cheers, Norm
