its unusual that they are all in on the lie

Not that there is the slightest evidence of anything that could be construed as a "lie";

There is and you know it but in your typical partisan fashion, you wouldn't admit shit even if they caught Bush's hand in the cookie jar. Fuck, you won't admit when you've screwed up. That's you whole MO.....its why you think you and Bush are perfect....and why you lose credibility....at least with me.

but you make one of many valid points proving conclusively there was no lie. To believe Bush lied, you have to believe that Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rice, Rumsfeld, and a whole host of other people lied, an absurd proposition.

Its very possible that they did not see it as a lie and in typical groupthink, convinced themselves it was a slight exaggeration that would be vindicated once Saddam fell. It looks like now they were wrong.

I think Powell made an adequate defense yesterday: Had the mobile labs not been mobile labs, Saddam undoubtedly would have trotted them out the next day explaining just what they were.

The Brits. are claiming they sold the mobile labs to them in the 80s and they were used to make hydrogen balloons. Since they look exactly like the mobile labs that the Brits sold to Saddam, it makes good sense that that is what they are.

I think Powell is an example of a man who is honest but who fell in with a group of fanatics. Unfortunately, like many good people, he doesn't know when to cut his losses and if they go down, he will go down with them.

But it is absurd, also, to even SUGGEST that the guy unilaterally destroyed 2,000,000 lbs of chemical agent and 10,000 liters of Anthrax without making a show of it.

Don't you get it; those WMD may not have existed at all.......the UN inspectors and the US were guessing that's what remained. No one was sure. Hence, the need for inspections.

If he were going to destroy these items (which he was known to have), there is simply no way in hell he would have done so without inviting Peter Arnett and CNN to report it for propaganda purposes -- and probably Hans Blix's crew, too. It is utterly absurd to suggest these items were destroyed.

What? Is English your second language? He said repeatedly near the end before the war he did not have any WMD. It was reported in all the major newspapers. Where were you?

This man was an absolute expert at hiding his weapons programs and the products of them. This is precisely why weapons inspections could never have worked.

Bla..bla..bla.......what are you an automaton? I don't want to hear party propaganda. Right now, it looks like the inspections were working and that there are no WMD.
