That's a pretty strong statement considering there were at least 4, possibly five, attempted Islamic terrorist attacks on US soil between 1993 and 2001, two of which succeeded spectacularly and one that was only foiled by an alert border guard and a nervous jihadi at the Canadian border.

And we will never know how many attacks subsequent to 2001 have been thwarted.
