Hubert, I am not sure whether you threw your velvet cape across the muddy and foul gutter for me in your post, or whether I should just grab onto one of your wings and beat it out of here. The wing grab might be better, since I would not want my four-inch heels with the sexy ankle straps poking little holes in the soft cloth of your caring and concern. I think I might be more inclined to fly away with you very soon, after I have finished doing my good works here at Ask God. The Feelings thread is fun, but sometimes I require more substance, and I do like to debate philosophical issues.
Unfortunately, however, this thread got my attention because there were a lot of people saying very mean things about homosexuals, Jews, pagans and non-Christians who are really very cool. It is not nice to be so prejudiced!! And I got the distinct idea they all thought Jesus was a blue-eyed white guy. Religious beliefs are disturbing when they foment violence or encourage hatred and narrowmindedness, so I somehow got lured over on a mission of sorts. And it seemed like a lot of true believers had a very strange idea that Satan really existed, and that I was one of his most eager foot soldiers. I do not think that is a very healthy way of looking at life, and my dream is that everyone will be healthy and happy (while they are waiting for Maitreya, or Godot, or a double latte, depending upon their personal preference).
