You know, I read and watched "Band of Brothers" and I have to admit (though it's more a guys thing to react to) I cried.
These men were top notch. They relied on each other and came through in a pinch. They showed clear-headed thought and reaction. The acted decisively, even if they weren't supposed to make the decisions. If one man dropped the ball, 2 others picked it up.
It was just an amazing situation and extraordinary men filled extraordinary roles. The most touching thing was reading how they continued to care for each other later in life.

Of course, right now I'm reading "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator". Quite a switch, to be sure, but equally fascinating. I'd have to say I'm much more inclined to cast my life in with the group of men in the first book.
