Microsoft antitrust inquiries, concerns widen infoworld.com

Another story with nothing particularly new, but a modestly amusing quote.

The thrust of the inquiry into the content providers is to determine whether, by forcing manufacturers to accept third-party icons on the Active Desktop, Microsoft is trying to use its Windows hegemony in the operating systems world to dominate the public gateway to the World Wide Web, according to Justice Department and content-provider sources.

Ok, ok, Microsoft isn't a monopoly, it's a hegemony. Sheesh. They're all a bunch of capitalist roaders, too. I hope our Chinese audience appreciates this.

Cheers, Dan.
