sorry - did my best to explain in a global context.

I think that Major League Baseball retains the rights to the World Series regardless of which subentity within that mammoth corporation that is Newscorp actually handles the broadcast and where it is incorporated. Last I checked, MLB was American. In any event, it sure isn't Rupert who owns the rights even it MLB didn't retain them in that, while he may be founder and chairman, he doesn't own the corporation.

Do you really think that the NBA finals would be broadcast for free to the Chinese army? If not, why make an issue of my example?
