Agree on all of that...

I've not updated the intro in a long time.

I used to work hard to create an annual update around the first of each year... and revise it all on an annual schedule... still while keeping the prior years picks, winners and losers, so I could track the performance. The whole point was basically to create a digital paper trail as a record... that worked to establish that track record in a way that was easy to revisit... and note what I got right, and what I got wrong, and why...

Without that... memory tends to think better of your opinions at the time... than reality admits is true...

Its just a good habit to get into... to avoid, in your self interest, the trap that exists in more people claiming to have attended Woodstock than is possible... like vastly more bought Qualcomm before they won their first patent battle... SI provides a useful date/time stamp to enable revisiting "when" you figured this or that out... when you made this or that call... at what price, etc.

Events have intervened since... and I've not kept up with it the last few years.

These days it would be hard in any case... as the pace of events is so rapid my opinion changes a couple times a week, if not a couple times a day...

Just picking a time frame in which to focus expectations is more of challenge these days...

And, my own efforts have shifted to shorter term trading... in higher risk issues...

I think we're near a peak in the market... and hope to benefit from passing it with "the right positions" in hand... to profit from the reversal, first... before going long the counter cyclic beneficiaries of change...

But, the miners ? I paired holdings today... bumping the % cash... by trimming the losers and underperformers...

While I can't keep up with that flow in events and trades, anyway... I do try to keep up with the longer term "value" picks... and post interesting situations worth following until they're ripe for picking...
