Sure, I suppose there might be some idiot child of AQ that didn't get the message, but the probabilities are small.

On the contrary, the probability is a certainty, since the Times itself noted major Al Qaeda players, such as the mastermind of the Bali bomb, that had been brought to justice via the SWIFT program. It's not rocket science to conclude that telling the Al Qaeda guys who are still out there that this was how it was done, which they may well not have known, is useful information to them.
