I don't believe a word of it. I'll bet you are weeping over his dirty laundry as I type this. And yes, we were out on the boat. Waht fun taht is!!! Brandon formerly wanted an airplane, until I gave him flying lessons as a present. This is lots better as far as his whims go. We bought this Kawasaki Jet Ski inflatable pull toy that can hold two riders. We will take that out next weekend. I think the best thing about a boat is that there are no bugs on the water. The thing I always hated about backpacking and camping was the bugs. I hate bugs, and they hate me. I am always being attacked by stinging things and they always get stuck in my hair. We ate our lunch on the water, lovely choc. chip bagels with choc. chip cream cheese, and nary a bug. Lovely.
My dad had a sail boat which was fun but it was always a big production to get it launched and ready. Our boat just slips in to the water and presto, you park the trailer and off you go. And you actually drive it onto the trailer when you leave, NO winching, it is so much easier than I ever imagined. I'm in love with our boat (and it is ever so much bigger and stronger than a power tool Janice).
As for the swim lessons no way am I hanging around. My kids tend to perform for me, and not in a nice way. I'll be treadmilling I think. Luckily I can put the other kids in the nursery while Meg has her lesson. Some of my friends have told me their kids were swimming after the first session, but I have no great expectations. I just want her out there trying. I don't care if it takes all summer for Meg to learn, but we told her she can't ride any of the pull toys untill she learns to swim and that was motivational.
You have my sympathy regarding CW. I do not look forward to my children leaving the nest. I think Brandon does, or at least he says he does, but I don't. I'm sure I'll worry much more about them when I have lost all control over their well-being. I am such a catuious person now and my kids will probably grow up to be risk takers.
Have to get going, see you this afternoon?
