If I recall, it was going to be about 1-2 years, with specific scheduled reporting periods (that were not defined at the time the trials started). They left it open to allow themselves a little flexibility.

Because the people being treated are taking other AIDS drugs (vs the phase II) the positive effects may take a little longer to reveal themselves. That being said, we may have some sense of the effects much sooner. I would expect the minimum period for some sort of report would be 6 months, but more realistically 1 year.
