You don't have the right to continue to be this seriously misinformed about the border fence and border security.
.

The border fence is 21 feet tall, more than twice as tall as the Berlin Wall. Congress authorized a complete-length border fence after 9/11 with a $55 billion price tag.

As the Bush administration built the 21 foot tall fence, it became clear that border incursions continued along the same populated regions, even with a double border fence with a dog run in between for the Border Patrol. In more remote desert areas Bush decided to build only a vehicle barrier fence coupled with electronic surveillance.

After years of installation, the electronic surveillance systems proved not to work as the defense contractors had promised. The surveillance provided too many alerts for the Border Patrol to respond to, triggered by wildlife and faulty sensors.

Not surprisingly the Border Patrol largely ignored the new system and the Bush abandoned full implementation along with not building the fence in areas where people don't cross because there's no roads or access.

I understand how popular Trump's misunderstanding of the world is with the simpletons who found his brand of used-car salesman an attractive quality. Simple wrong "solutions" to complex real world problems is what he sells and what you like to buy into.

Extending the existing Border Fence over more than 1,000 miles of land where people don't cross is a waste of tens of billions which doesn't improve border security. It's Trumpishly idiotic.

The parts of the border where people cross most often are protected by two walls, not one. Mitch McConnell has not brought this up for a vote in the Senate for the past two years because Mexico hasn't provided the funding Trump promised. He knows Trump's plan is an ineffective waste of money, and you'll know that as well once you educate yourself.

This is a photo from the Mexican side of Border Park with protestors climbing the Mexican side of the 21 foot tall wall that Trump wants another thousand miles of.

This is the border wall Trump wants to build in places where people don't cross the border, plus a second interior fence that Trump doesn't believe is necessary - yet the areas where people most often cross the border are sections like this.

Buy yourself a clue. You see one of the Border Patrol trucks on the beach watching Americans on the beach and ready to respond to any incursions spotted by the surveillance tower on the left side (north side of the border barriers.)

After 2008, border incursions declined, in part due to our economy and part due to it's now easier to enter America by commercial schedules airlines with a Tourist Visa. Airports are where border security has arrested potential terrorists and people who pose a security threat, not at our borders.

Below is an aerial view of the same section of border from the Pacific Ocean.
