While I avoid these people as much as possible, I've know a few along the way. Most of them are just damaged people who couldn't find an ACOA meeting in their neighborhood and turned to the next closest thing. Actually quite normal in many respects, and their behavior is very understandable in context. There but for the grace of God.....
