Payout from JAVA in the future will come from the community license model which allows code to be shared for free until a product is commercially used. Then royalties are due. Look for huge revenues if embedded JINI takes hold. At the present time JAVA, earns a very small part of SUNW's income but it opens the door for SUNW to sell hardware, and other related software like Solaris, i-Planet, etc.
