Lieberman is willing to stay in the Democratic caucus if he wins. The Democrats had better give him full standing including all perks of seniority because if they try to cut him down after he wins re-election, he will have the opportunity to switch sides and join the Republican caucus. It does not appear that he wants to do that but he might be willing to do it if he is forced to. Are the Democrats so petty that they would seek to push one vote from their side to the other side of the aisle? Is this a party that seriously wants to gain control of the Senate or is it something else?

Lieberman has wide support in Conn. among moderates and many Republicans. If his name is on the general election ballot, he will win.
