We were discussing image. As I mentioned earlier, I was referring to tone, attitude. You can do something or try to do it with or without class.

Trying to stop progress was the objective. Tone is the way you comport yourself, the language you use, while pursuing that objective.

I don't think total inaction nothing is a real screw you in almost any context

When people are suffering or concerned then the absence of at least some appropriate gesture is effectively "screw you."
