Seattle is the sixth-most competitive market for homes in the U.S., with 67.4 percent of all home offers having a competitive bid, which is down from 74.6 percent a month earlier, according to Seattle-based online real estate company Redfin.

Nationally, 69.5 percent of all homes had competitive bids in May, compared 73.3 percent in April, according to Redfin, which noted that San Francisco (87.9 percent competitive bids in May) led the nation, followed by Los Angeles (86.1 percent), Orange County, Calif. (83.9 percent) and San Diego (72.6 percent).
