John, What would you think of a simple way of keeping track of the 'desert sand' companies??? Might call it the 'Desert Sand Index'. Could be something as simple as the closing price of each of the stocks that are really working in this field. For instance the closing price on 1/2/97 was: IPMCF $4.37 CHIP $1.06 MXAM $0.16 NAXOS $4.37 GPGI $1.68 Total 11.65 Could multiply by 100 and call it 1165 as the base number. Easy formula to use at the end of each day to see how the group is doing. We could make it more market cap oriented -- any ideas out there??? C L
