I disagree. Draining the swamp may reduce the mosquito population, but it kills the fish and birds too. It's always cheaper to buy a tube of mosquito repellant than to drain the swamp.

You have to be smarter than the terrorists to beat them at their game.

The war in Iraq has recruited more terrorists to the ranks. The cost? They have nothing to risk, so the cost is zero. Even if they sacrifice themselves the cost is martyrdom, which is glory before god.

Since the war in Iraq has created more terrorists than it destroyed, It's like expanding the swamp instead of draining it.

Iraq was a costly mistake. It revealed many of our own weaknesses. The dollar is falling, the debt is rising and Al Qaeda hides in the mountains of Pakistan plotting the next attack while we get blown up by IEDs. Not an effective plan in my book.
