Thus the current emphasis on using small targeted amounts of DDT instead of a broad application.

When we started with DDT, it was overused and a bug resistance built up. The definitive DDT study back in '72 said it was safe to use. The top US official who was in charge admitted he banned it for political reasons.

The problem now is that the environmentalists have built up the ''big lie" so much that you can't get approved for use. The malaria that would have been stopped by it in the 3rd world has killed millions. And the countries involved still are afraid to go to widespread use because the Euros and the UN people involved with WHO, etc, don't want it use.
