If Bush wanted to exploit Iraqi people, he and Blair could have negotiated with Saddam to end the No Fly Zones and containment for a piece of the action.

Since 2/3 of the worlds oil reserves sit in the Persian Gulf area, liberating Iraq is about oil.

The US does not need to exploit Iraqi oil. We need Iraqi's prosperous and free developing and selling their oil at market prices.

You are mistaken if you think the investment needed by Iraq will be made unless the government is effective and representative of the people. Exxon and others will need to invest billion with payouts over 20 years.

Oil supply will become very tight over the next 5-10 years and we need Iraqi oil flowing free to limit the rise in oil prices.
