I don't recall that aspect of it being mentioned. The media hooked the black/white difference. But when you read the book you find he shows how Intel tests have allowed colleges to pluck people from all over and segregate them by intel. We all want to hang with people that have the same interests we do. We do it here on line, etc. The societal changes are allowing us to group this way now by geography.
