I agree Rusty. I dont think anyone said that MSFT was going to bankrupt. What I was saying was that MSFT will pale in comparison to other tech stocks out there like NOVL, SUN, and of course the never-to-understood Internet stocks. There is a lot of innovation going on in these companies that MSFT is far behind or refuses to accept.

NOVL's NDS Directory Service is catching on like wild-fire in the industry. They will very shortly (within the month) announcing their next NDS Version 8 (yes VERSION 8 when MSFT is still struggling to put out version 1). which will in all reality be scaleable beyond foreseeable needs. That is why the industry analysts have started becoming extremely bullish on NOVL.

In the meantime - MSFT will possible encounter a very conserative growth rate with several very noticeable dips as the DOJ trail hits them, their product delays continue, and the Y2K lockdown hits later this year.

You the cheerleaders will be advised to stay with the slow moving giant. They will feel better that way. Maybe someday MSFT will return to its huge capital gains of the past. MAybe.

And your right Rusty - it is fun knocking an arrogant giant when he's down. I predict us "MSFT-Haters" will have a lot of opportunity over the next few years to get our kicks in. :)
