I know a lot of Democrats and not one is the way you imagine them. In fact in many ways your average Democrat is lot more conservative that Bush and CO.
- Fiscally conservative (Bush isn't already running up deficit and threatening Social Security)
- Environmentally conservative (Bush wants to burn it up now and leave little for future generations)
- Morally conservative (against tobacco and gun lobbies whose industries kill more Americans than any other)
- Democratically conservative (that is wanting a much more accurate vote count in elections)

But I guess those "liberal" issues like patients rights against the HMO monopoly, not wanting to waste 100 billion on Star Wars, not wanting to waste another 100 billion on Big Energy giveaways and wanting some sort of hard times safety net in this country are just "damn coimmunist", huh? Really whacko and un-American.

Reality check - your "conservative" party is trying to give away our surplus and our wildlands to the very rich and Big Energy. And they are cutting military programs soldiers care about, not strengthening them. Also, they've jeopardized out international alliacnes, further damaged our economy, BS'ed religious organizations, offered eot let every illegal Mexican immigrant citizenship and have already stolen your tax cut. But you don't care cause you're a Re-publican and them's decent folks, right? Home's in the heartland. (and so are the white collar criminals)
