Also remember that the source of SAP's infinite wisdom in the SCM area came at the expense of the early partnership they had with i2. i2 is less than enthusiastic towards SAP since they had a fully disclosed partnership with SAP terminated in favor of writing "their own" SCM. Shades of Oracle... Moving forward, SAP will learn that it can't be all things to all people. That strategy has failed at IBM and again at Oracle. Partnerships in key areas are critical to the success of a good software company. It helps the company focus on what it does best. Softsell - ing the software industry
