Hello,

I just wanted to comment on a couple of issues that were raised here lately.

1. The Hummer. I also questioned the logic of the Hummer, but I have been reassurred several times that it was in no way purchased. I know that at one event I participated in the Hummer was rented. I also know that another Hummer has been provided by the manufacturer.

2. The Provo facility. I know that this might not have been communicated well, however in Utah we currently have *two* sets of facilities. Provo (the original Novell campus) and Orem (the old WordPerfect campus) are both within several miles of each other. I have had to drive back and forth, sometimes, several times a day for meetings. The expansion of the Provo facilities are supposed to allow us to move the Orem employees to Provo. (I would actually like the Orem facilities more since they are closer to Provo Canyon ... it would cut my commute in half!)

3. Windows98. I liked the news today that Windows98 will slip again. I remember when MS said it would be here for Christmas. Shipping! Now they are saying that they will "target" May of 1998? I guess that when the foundation isn't built well, the house has a hard time supporting additions.

4. Cisco Cache. Please look through the press releases ... Cisco also annouced some caching technologies ... they also recognize hierarchical caching as the future! $30,000 each! I guess that BorderManager is on the right track.

5. Java. I still like Lucent and Inferno! Inferno can run Java ... and more! And it's Lucent ...
