In your question about posting URL's, did you mean how do you post a hyperlink here in SI? You don't have to do anything but write it out, or paste it in. SI automatically converts URL's to hyperlinks.

So if I just paste in the address to Andy's page here, with no special http coding for a hyperlink behind it, SI converts it:
