<question: If, still in the throes of a mania, these dot.com assets are being liquidated for 8-11 cents on the dollar (which appears to be the going rate for the 10 or so that I've seen recently) what do you think they will eventually go for at the BOTTOM of the cycle?> Actually you're missing the whole point... the current liquidation is probably what fair value always was given a very firm market currently for any internet asset, not 8-10cents on the dollar... those previous prices were panic buyers. At the bottom of the cycle there will be none of this crap for sale, it'll be the guys who bought this crap who's stocks will sell for 6-8 PE's.... DAK
