Lou - try the 25,13,8 True Strength Index on the SPY, QQQ or IWM 3-minute charts, 15-min & hourly

TSI explained at StockCharts.com -

school.stockcharts.com

--------------------------------------------------
Lou - for intraday trading the indexes such as SPY, QQQ, IWM:

the 3min, 15min and 60min are primary chart timeframes with the indicators & Bollinger Bands I like to use.

I would not give up the 3-minute chart when trading SPY, QQQ and the futures contracts, if I could only use
one chart time frame for indicator and BB and %B setups ... though the 60-minute is best for the most reliable short advances or do NOT short advances .. and for buy dips actual trading setups

There are several items like the 200,3 BB on the 1-minute SPY and the Volume Weighted Average Price on the 1-minute which are only reliable for use to timing shifts in the directional trading bias when using the 1-minute chart.
