TriQuint Semi (TQNT) 22.59 -1.09: Reports Q1 earnings of $0.15 a share, $0.01 better than the First Call consensus of $0.14, vs year-ago earnings of $0.13. Revenues were $80.9 million, resulting in a 37% increase over the $59.3 million in the comparable period of 2000. Says bookings were very weak in the mobile phone, datacom and low-end SONET markets; strength in the satellite communications, some broadband digital wireless applications, and defense electronics markets. Microsoft (MSFT) 68.02 +2.59: Reports Q3 earnings of $0.44 a share, $0.02 better than the First Call consensus of $0.42, vs year-ago earnings of $0.43; revenues rose 14.1% to $6.46 bln (consensus $6.2 bln)from a year-ago of $5.66 bln. Company is guiding Jun qtr revenue of $6.3-6.5 bln and EPS of $0.42-0.43 excluding charges, both near current expectations. Guidance for the year is also in line with current estimates.
