Today I was casually talking to an aircraft avionics technician at work and he told me a story about a time when he helped a start-up that had great drawings but they had trouble putting the electronic boards together. He volunteered his time and at the end the start-up went to shows and the products worked. The little start-up did not have enough money to pay him so they gave him 100 shares of company stock. That company was Apple!

He did not know how much it was worth but he said somewhere in the 6 figures and he does not care because it is locked in their children's trust funds.

I guess for people like my co-worker this 4 point drop today does not mean much :)
