Hi Ya'll,
Got a question. What does this stock split mean to institutions, such a mutual funds? I was told that anyone who purchases 5% or more of any one stock that they have to declare their intentions and mutual funds would rather buy as much as they can up to 5%, but not over for such reasons. I gather that this split means that funds can now buy large blocks yet remain under 5%. Isn't that the reason why small-caps do not get much mutual fund support because the # of shares are small? Does the IOMG 2-1 split opens the gates for the more funds to get in on the action?
Also, does anyone out there have any thoughs on IPMX, LTXX, ATCT (all buys) and shorting AMTX, short-term? I'm sitting on a fence right now and need a push? I'd buy more IOMG, but I don't have enough cash to make it worthwhile....unless it dips to $30, post- split.
On another subject... I was at Comp USA, shopping and researching and found a mess of Zips on display (mess=200+), but nearly all were Epsons. What is IOMG's profit for each Epson that sell and is it more profitable to receive such royalties or when they manufacture it themselves? I noticed that the if I had a choice between the Epson and the Iomega drives, I'd pick the Iomega simply because I have enough off-white, light beige hardware right here, and the Epson's was this such color. I'm so bored with light beige, light grays around my workspace that I'm thinking about taking off my computer shell and splatter paint it so there is some variety. I think that if Iomega, once total removable storage world domination occurs, would come out with 4 or 5 crazy looking outer shell designs, it would be a huge hit. Hell, I bought my MouseMan simply beacuse I had a choice of styles.
Nuff said.
