Well... I don't see why he wouldn't. As long as they aren't dumping heavy metals and petro contaminates along with it and maintain their marsh... it might be the last thing holding the whole ecosystem of the Sound together.

If New Orleans had been feeding the same stew to its marshes for the last hundred years they might have a decent buffer zone between them and the gulf today. As it is... I wouldn't eat anything that grew up anywhere near there or any other US city's Gulf shore.

For that matter... if anybody whose seen the waters off Maine still has an appetite for sea food they're a lot tougher than this bird.
