All the evidence linking Iraq to Al Qaida and terrorism is speculative.Maybe Rumsfeld & Co know better, and have intelligence which says otherwise. But given Rumsfeld's recent glaring lapses of judgement, I have serious doubts. Plus the Bush administration has a tendency to rename every arab group that is fighting the US in some capacity "al quida". For example when we were in Afganistan, there was some al quida there but most of who we were fighting was the taliban. Fox news reported the enemy fire as "al quida". I think this overt mischaracterization of the enemy comes from the Bush WH.
