After all, wasn't the CIA created through an Act of Congress in 1947? Doesn't the Congress hold oversight of the CIA??

Congress has oversight of the CIA. If William Colby were around he would be happy to explain the reach of Congress into the CIA.

We gave Saddam more then enough opportunities to fully "cooperate and graduate", and he chose not to...

I believe it was Bush that said that when Saddam didn't deliver his inventory of WMD that was proof that he wasn't in compliance.

Bottom, the democratic leadership saw the same intelligence the Bush administration did.

That's a nice claim. The members of Congress were given access to a room that had a lot of stuff in it. Whether that included everything the Administration had access to is problematic.

We gave Saddam more then enough opportunities to fully "cooperate and graduate", and he chose not to...

He was certainly cooperating to the extent that every piece of intelligence that the Administration put forward was shown to be false. That was a problem for the Administration and that left the Administration with the choice of ordering UN inspectors out of Iraq.

The stakes are too high for us to permit ANY non-democratic nation to possess WMDs in that region.. certainly nuclear ones.. It will unleash a Nuclear Arms race across the region..

And that goes for Iran as well.. If they get them, then Saudi Arabia and Syria will want them.. And Turkey will want them.. Then Kuwait, Qatar.. Jordan...

The domino theory. I suppose you might start with Israel that doesn't even have to sign the NPT. If you allow Israel to have nuclear weapons you should expect the countries around them to want nuclear weapons. Isn't that how the domino theory works?

I thought Turkey was a democracy. You weren't careful enough in your clause ... "ANY non-democratic nation to possess WMDs in that region". What you meant was any country other than Israel.
