Funny, I started at the Wyatt Company in 1980. At that time, the most prevalent interest rate for valuing defined benefit pension plans for purposes of determining funding requirements was 5% or 5-1/2%. Over the years, it moved to about 8-1/2%. Long bull markets will do that.

Well, I will plug in 6% or 7% into the projections; just don't expect any calls from IBM wanting your financial guidance!
