I getting some conflicting figures on outstanding shares and float.

Shares Outstanding 106.9M
Float 104.7M

Has anyone called American Stock Transfer & Trust Co. (212/936-5100) lately to confirm the current share status? The above figures are from Yahoo but I have received similar figures from another source.
