CR, and this effect of the oceans to completely nullify the impact of MASSIVE CO2 emissions was predicted, right?
i don't recall that being the case. in fact, i recall being told everything else was insignificant.
so the last decade was a COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED result - EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS "SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS" on the theories put forth in the late 1990s.
now that *reality* has diverged from the predictions, reasons have to be developed because the original paradigm was false on at least some very significant levels (not proof it is all false, though).
again, if people that believe CO2 juiced GW threatens civilization don't get out of their CO2 polluting vehicles, what can they expect from anyone else?
i'm not a "denier." i just need evidence that disaster is around the corner - something nobody seems to be able to give - including the people making a mint while excrementing 50x the average CO2 polluter (yea, that's you all gore and arnold).
i'm not at all convinced that disaster awaits around the corner - the same way i wasn't convinced that temps would keep rising higher than 1998 or 2002 (and that skepticism is *factually* proven to be warranted).
and, even *if* disaster is around the corner, i don't think people will leave their vehicles or give up industry. i was hoping that GST or yourself would give me concrete evidence this view was wrong, but GST affirmed it and you just simply avoid it (leading to the logical inference you haven't changed much and don't want to admit it). |
