Regarding your statement << ...commerce is slow to gain strong volumes... >>, as long as there are attractive products and services for customers to use in an electronic world, there will be a need for CKFR services. IMHO, I think CKFR should do as one astute contributer to this thread suggested and seed the electonic marketplace with marketing and hype to get the public going on e-commerce. Perhaps, CKFR should even contribute to creating new customer value propostions (pardon the consultant speak) for other businesses to take forward. Somewhat unfortunately, CKFR is definitely in a mandatory alliance business and relies on other parties to bring a consumer offering to the table. And as we've seen lately some e-commerce consumer offerings are viable and have room for growth (e.g., Auto-by-tel) and some don't (IBM's and MCI's e-malls). Again, IMHO, as long as there are innovators brining viable new customer value propositions to the market, CKFR is a shoe-in.
