Wow, That Didn’t Take Long. NBC cancels "The Book of Daniel" NBC has canceled controversial Friday night drama "The Book of Daniel" after only a few weeks on the air. The cancellation is blamed on low ratings nationwide. The show raised the ire of religious conservatives across the country who objected to its portrayal of an Episcopal priest with a troubled family and congregation. Several stations across the country chose not to air the show due to objections by viewers. On Friday, January 27, the show will be replaced with an episode of "Law & Order." The Friday, February 3rd, the network will air a 2 hour edition of Dateline NBC beginning at 9 p.m. Following the Winter Olympics the Friday 10 p.m. time period will contain a new legal drama entitled "Conviction" from the producer of "Law & Order". wbir.com
