Fresh on the heels of the 60th Senator declaring opposition to an Alito filibuster, Kerry has apparently made it official that he intends to filibuster Alito's nomination: <<< WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John Kerry has decided to support a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, CNN's Congressional Correspondent Ed Henry reported Thursday. Kerry, in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum, was marshaling support in phone calls during the day, Henry said. >>> This is just wonderful. The Democratic nominee for President mounting a filibuster of a majority-supported Supreme Court nominee, with public support against him by a 2-1 margin. The only thing that makes this better is that he's launching the filibuster from Europe. And also, that everyone knows his mission is doomed before it begins.
