Information I got last year from a close friend who attended the Ampex annual meeting was that Ampex did believe that KM would work with MR and that this obviously would be an avenue Ampex would most definitely pursue. This was based on very preliminary tests. The person who said this was Bramson himself. We all know how cautious Mr. Bramson and the rest of the Ampex organization are, so I personaaly believe that they are much further along than any of us may realize with the KM-MR marriage.
