Ted, Everything I read about this recall election suggests that Californians are looking for someone to blame for the economic mess and for the general malaise in these United States. Davis makes the perfect fall guy. Turnabout is fair play. Davis tried to make Bush the fall guy for the economy, the 2001 power crisis, and the CA budget deficit. That's fair but don't tried to feed me the partisan BS. You'd think that would have worked in a huge Democratic stronghold, no? What makes you think CA is going for Bush next year? I would be very surprised. And to think that just a few years ago, Davis was seen as an honorable statesman and a potential presidential candidate. Now he's Velcro Man, and Bush didn't even need to break a sweat. Honorable statesman and potential presidential candidate? Hardly.......maybe in his fantasy and in someone else's nightmare. As a former Californian, no one I knew thought much about him. That's why I was surprised when he was elected governor. Having said all that, don't count him out. He has a was of re-ingratiating himself. I can't explain it but the guy knows how to work the joint. ted
